Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake their way and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and He will have mercy on them, and to our God, for He will freely pardon. Isaiah 55:6-7

Now is the Time
God speaks right now, and the present moment is the time to respond.
God's patience on this side of eternity is evident through His long-suffering nature, as He soverignly rules over this sinful world. As part of His common grace to all mankind, He grants us all the valuable gift of time. The time we’re given on earth allows us to turn away from our sins, embrace Jesus as our Savior, and receive salvation, escaping God’s final judgment and the eternal wrath to come. What mercy!
Despite mankind’s reluctance to seek Him in the Scriptures, the Lord generously provides us with numerous chances. He's so patient with us! As Paul states, God extended mercy to him even when he was acting in ignorance and unbelief (1 Tim 1:13). The Lord's mercy and patience endure, even in our willful ignorance, as He desires us all to repent and turn to Him before it’s too late. He doesn’t want anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9) through believing the Good News that Jesus lived the perfect life for us, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again from the dead, ultimately defeating sin, Satan, and death. So now, whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).
Salvation is not by our own works or simply by "just being a good person." Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Jesus did all the work for us, and eternal life is a free gift (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 6:23)
Now is the Day
It’s so comforting to know that Jesus is always available to everyone on this side of eternity, being patient toward us all and extending His mercy and grace to each and every one of us, every day. However, we must never take His patience and mercy for granted. The Lord urges us to seek Him without delay, as Scripture states that today is the day of salvation and that now is the right time to put our trust in Him. Not next year, not next week, not even tonight…but now!
As it is written, He says that now is the day of salvation. For He says, “In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you. ”Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation (2 Cor 6:2). Since we don't know how much time we have left on this earth, we shouldn't dare put off our salvation, as we could die in our sins at any moment. Only God knows how much time we have left, and we shouldn’t put God to the test with that. So we must seek the LORD while He may be found and call upon Him while He is near. Isaiah 55:6
When confronted with the Gospel truth, we must not harden our hearts to it (Heb 3:8) but embrace Jesus wholeheartedly, as well as joyfully! Ignoring the truth or putting it off (saying we will submit to the truth later or when we’re “ready”) will only make it harder to accept in the future. The more we ignore Jesus and put off salvation, the harder our hearts will get toward the truth. We cannot ever assume that we will have another opportunity to embrace the truth in Jesus and be saved; thus, now is the right time to repent and believe in Him. Praise the Lord for the time He gives us to find everlasting life in Him!
As it is said, “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” Hebrews 3:15
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12
